Manual: How have you been today?

This manual explains everyday usage step by step and shows how to use trends, symptoms, reminders, and exports effectively.

1. Quick start (2 minutes)

  • Open the app and enter today's value on the 1-10 scale.
  • Optionally add a comment and matching symptoms.
  • Save the check-in and confirm the entry appears in your timeline/history.
  • You can reopen and edit today's entry immediately.

2. Daily check-ins

  • The 1-10 scale captures daily wellbeing: 1 very difficult, 10 very good.
  • Use comments for context (sleep, stress, events) so later changes remain understandable.
  • Symptoms can be added or removed per entry.
  • Both current and historical entries can be edited.

3. Dashboard and time ranges

  • Many dashboard panels depend on the selected date range.
  • Trend windows are flexible: 7, 14, 21, or 28 days.
  • Summary provides a compact overview for the selected range.
  • Distribution shows how often value ranges occur.
  • Balance shows the ratio of better versus more difficult days.
  • Stability shows how strongly your wellbeing fluctuates.
  • History displays entries along the timeline.

4. Symptom dictionary

  • The dictionary follows system language by default; if available, an override language can be selected.
  • Terms can be qualified or dequalified to control suggestions.
  • The frequent symptoms panel highlights recurring symptoms in the selected range.
  • Symptom suggestions can be derived from comments; stopword filtering removes common filler words.
  • In symptom details by date, you can open the related entry and edit it directly.

5. Reminders and badge

  • Reminders follow the schedule configured in the app.
  • If today's check-in is already completed, the day is treated as done.
  • Badge modes indicate pending daily actions based on your setting.
  • A badge clears once the daily status is fulfilled.
  • A reminder can move to the next day if today is already completed.

6. Data tools (Import/Export)

  • PDF is suitable for doctor and therapy appointments.
  • CSV/XLSX are suitable for backup and custom analysis.
  • Export settings let you include or exclude symptoms.
  • Anonymized and aggregated export modes are available for privacy-sensitive sharing.
  • CSV import expects matching headers and valid row-level formats.
  • Dictionary and stopword lists can be imported/exported via CSV.

7. Privacy

  • Data is stored locally on the device.
  • No account, no tracking, no cloud sync.
  • You control which data is exported.
  • Delete/reset functions let you remove data.

8. Troubleshooting (FAQ)

  • Import fails: first verify that CSV headers exactly match the expected schema.
  • Export/share does not react on iOS: reopen the app and start export again.
  • Keyboard covers Save: dismiss keyboard or slightly move the screen.
  • Panel values differ: check the active date range and trend window.
  • Reminder moved to tomorrow: today's check-in was already fulfilled or next valid reminder slot is next day.
